Welcome to the website that we, the supporters of H.P. Wright Library, have established to update you on the progress of our campaign to keep the doors open!
Watch this site for events, postings, volunteer opportunities, and how to donate to the cause.
To hear the latest on Save Wright Library fundraising efforts, tune into the Locals Only show on KVTA 1520AM on July 17 at 11 am. Locals Only show host Kelli McKay will interview Ed Summers, Ventura City Council member, and Joanne Fields, Chair of the Salsa Dance Contest fundraiser about the Salsa Festival Dance Contest and the Save Wright Library campaign. The interview should air at approximately 11:30 am.
Joanne Fields, Michael O’Kelly and Berta Steele of Save the Wright library were interviewed on the Dr. Bunny Show on KKZZ radio 1400 on Thursday, July 2, about the Salsa Festival’s Dance Contest and our fundraising efforts. As soon as the audio archive is available, we will link to it.
For 44 years, H.P. Wright Library has helped educate hundreds of thousands of Ventura’s children. The library is now threatened with closure due to loss of funds from the County and the State.
This site is run by people who want to save the library. The campaign to Save Wright Library is sponsored by San Buenaventura Friends of the Library (SBFOL). You can reach us at:
